Christopher is a former director of Hofmeyr Herbstein and Gihwala Inc; Mervyn Taback Inc; Brooks and Brand Inc; and Brand Potgieter Inc. Christopher specializes in insolvency law, commercial law and High Court litigation.

Attended to the winding-up of the subsidiaries of the following entities:
- The Shoredits Group of Companies (1997).
- MacMed Healthcare Limited (in liquidation) (1999).
- In 2002, Christopher assisted the judicial managers of the North- West Development Corporation (under judicial management) with certain High Court Litigation relating to debtors, lease agreements and other related commercial issues and wrote various opinions relating to issues involving, inter alia, the disposition of shares and certain provisions of the Gambling Act (2004).
Christopher has also been involved in the sequestration /winding-up process in the following matters:
- The Insolvent Estate Late RB Kebble (2007).
- Money Skills Limited (In Liquidation) (2008).
Christopher also attended to the Insolvency Enquiries of:
- The insolvent estates of G and CF Minne for and on behalf of the South African Reserve Bank (Pyramid Scheme of approximately R280 million). Enquiry continued for approximately 28 days and during which he interrogated approximately 240 witnesses) (2010).
- The insolvent estate of DG Wilmot (a multi-million rand unlawful scheme conducted by Wilmot) (2016).
- Carmol Distributors (Pty) Ltd (In Liquidation) (R1 billion enquiry) (2016 to present).
- Christopher has also attended to all consequential High Court litigation following from the enquiries, sequestrations and / or liquidations.
Christopher is currently attending to, inter alia:
Assisting the participants in Mirror Trading International (Pty) Ltd (in liquidation) in regard to claims against them by Mirror Trading’s joint Liquidators. He has to date successfully negotiated settlement agreements on behalf of all the participants who have approached CJ Brand Attorneys for such assistance.
